Last night we all watched the the lonnnnnng anticipated announcement of Apple’s new phones and as always they have divided the crowd into the questions “Are they revolutionary” or “Are they a game changer”.

I personally am very happy with what they have produced. We need to remember that these are the Iphone 5C and S, the interim designs and not a whole new phone like the iPhone 6 will be, and what they have given us in the 5S is far more than they have ever given us in the 3GS or 4S as opposed to the original 3G and 4. lets do a quick breakdown shall we:

1. Iphone 5C

It comes in 5 colours as you can see above with a high gloss seamless finish, each phone has a matching wallpaper. A good idea for the female market I feel especially with the cases

Im not really a fan of Apple’s cases don’t feel they do the phones any justice. I always source out independent case companies that enhance the original qualities of the phones shape which attracted me in the first place.

You’re still getting the retina display A6 chip

5 element lens iSight camera and a HD large 1.9 pixel front HD FaceTime camera 

So they are not being to tight in what they are offering for this cheaper range or sorry “Affordable Range”. Not my bag but I get it and its a clever move to corner the market, Duke & Duke style.

2. Iphone 5S:

Now this badboy is coming with me!!!!!!

64bit chip, next level light sensor iSight lens, slow motion 120 fps video capture and finger print Touch ID security. = YESSSSS !!!!!!

And more importantly This badboy comes in GOLD..!!!

and also two other colours Silver and a dark grey. Bit annoying that they have got rid of the Black slate “Batman Suit” as I call it though. 

lets get back to the Touch ID.

The home screen button houses a high level touch sensor that can scan at 500 ppi and is able to categorise  you finger print pattern 1 of 3 main groups and recognises multi finger touch with different angle variations. Normally im not involved in these things for reasons I wont say on here but I am sure we all know why. eye retina recognition comes to mind (I will say no more), but they way they have done it is quite clever in the security function.

 They say its not stored on any of they servers or cloud do we believe them.?? hmmmmm

Yes this phone is coming with me. 

This is NOT a new model it is a RE-FIT we were never expecting a game changer in the sense of a new phone new shape whole new setup, and if you thought that then you obviously don’t know how Apple work.

They have not just given us a faster processor and better lens like the previous iphone S range, they have given us 2 types of phones new key features like the new touch ID  sensor scanner, slow motion 120 fps video capture, larger pixel capability, and lets not Bloody forget…. ITS 64 BIT !! what phone is on those levels of processing speeds. Oh and and a new operating system that smashes everyone else

Apple done did it again..!!!

TRIPLE WARNING, WARNING, WARNING.!!!!!

IF YOU HAVE NOT YET SEEN THE MAN OF STEEL, THEN YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS READING ANY FURTHER, CAUSE I’M ABOUT TO GO IN ON IT.. SO TURN AWAY NOW.!!

OK I have had a few days now to calm down from my annoyance of watching something I got so excited about even in my preparation for the day leading up to it with what I was going to wear. I decided to go in the traditional colours. (Those that know me will know I am a SUPER FAN ..!!!!) from WAYYYY BACK

I saw this film 3 days ago now 19/6/13 at THe IMAX in Waterloo and NO just NOOO.!!! 

let me start from the beginning.

1. Music on the opening credits: Nice sparse and atmospheric vibe but i did not realize that this would be the music through out the whole film :( It was by Hans Zimmer who did the Batman movies. (I miss John Williams deeply.)

2. When I first saw who was JOR-EL I was completely hype. If you are like me I do not like to see trailers or know who is in the film so it adds to the excitement of getting a surprise when watching it. Russell Crowe as Jor-El made me smile and nod saying yes lets start the movie.. So yes liked the opening scene with Jor-el, Lara and Kal-El being born.

3. As the movie progresses and I am looking around at what is supposed to be Krypton, I turned to my movie partner and said “I don’t think I like the way Krypton looks but can’t put my finger on it”

4. General Zod’s first appearance: After I first questioned the look of Krypton, a peculiar man with a team appeared on our screen welding a gun. All I heard called was “General Zod” and thats when the movie started to take a turn. TERRIBLE LOOKING GENERAL ZOD..!! No suaveness, smoothness, or posses a distinct leadership calm yet aristocratical tone of voice or accent.

You cannot touch the debonair smoothness of Terrance Stamp as General Zod in my opinion.

5. After seeing the monstrosity that was characterised as General Zod, I soon realised that Krypton was bothering me so much more, and I then knew what it reminded me of. “Zion” that ridiculous looking place in the worst Matrix ever “The Matrix Revolutions” Kryptonians are supposed be like gods with a glowing ora of light, like Zeus. I did like how Jor-El was gliding around in the air, getting away in Krypton though.

6. What the hell kind of Phantom Zone was that may I ask..??? A Ship ??? Liked how they were frozen though.

7. Kal-el in the pod going to earth. The pod looked like something Sigourney Weaver would mess with in Aliens back in the 80’s 

8. When I saw the pod gliding down to earth, I got excited when I saw the barn and was looking forward to see how it lands in Smallville, and seeing Johnathan and Martha Kent for the first time, BUT NO..!! They cut to a scene on a ship with some “Incredible Hulk” looking dude with a full grown beard looking like Non holding up a crane in fire, in a scene that would have no further relevance in the film. THIS WAS THE START OF MY ANNOYANCE FOR THE REST OF THE FILM

9. How can you all of a sudden be at the fortress talking to your father Jor-El just like that? How were you summoned there? How long was the journey? What made you question your existence and want to find your real parents? 

10. Why the hell, and how the hell does Louis know absolutely everything about Kal-El, Clark and superman. Further more what business does she have talking to Jor-El..??? Are you nuts.?? You cant just do what you like with a classic established story.

11. What on earth is Louis and a whole army team doing at the Fortress in the first place like anyone knows where it is.??

12. The suit: Although I liked the suit, with all the creases on the side,looking like a fly utility belt, i’m still not sure about the no red pants, and sometimes close up around the neckline it resembled steel mesh like the vikings used to wear under their amour.

13. Kal-El flying: I liked the way they showed him fly for the first time by taking the big leaps at a single bound, which looked very very good also the sound of his cloak flapping vigorously in the wind was quite realistic also him loosing control trying to cut through the wind resistance. BUT..!!! The whole thing happened farrrr to quickly. No build up, no learning of new powers, which goes back to my annoyance of not showing or focusing on young Clark/Kal-El, living and learning his new powers growing up. Did like the way they did his laser eyes though, with the red veins around the eye sockets, but didn’t like how he was screaming all the time when he had to use his strength. 

14. Loved and got hype to see who Perry White was. The homie and wicked actor Larry Fishburne, (who also looked like he’d been on the pies for the last 3 years…oops!!)

But then my annoyance came back when they didn’t introduce The Daily Planet properly or show it much in the film, or when I saw those ridiculous  robot from Aliens 3 suits that General Zod, Faora, and was that crazy robot NON?? what the hell?? anyway back to my point, yes those ridiculous suits they were wearing. Thought Faora was the best character out of all of them, would of liked her to be Ursa though but hey..

15. Apart from Zod who I had an IMMEDIATE dislike and displeasure for. I wasn’t too upset with the casting. Kevin Costner (who I ain’t seen for ages and it shows in how old he looks) was a good Johnathan Kent too, Martha was very good, and errrrr thats NOT how Johnathan dies… 

16. How are you going to take the mick out of my life by just tagging on at the end a shot of a “not so goofy” Clark starting at the Planet with a smirk on Louis’s face like I (she) know all about you (him), acting like you just did a good job with the movie, and you are trying to sell us the new franchise series. EERRRR NO.!!!

THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE AS YOU CAN TELL BY MY TONE OF WRITING I FELT WAS ABSOLUTELY APPALLING.. A COLLECTION OF RANDOM CLIPS OF ACTION, AND LOOSE SO CALLED STORY EVENTS COPY AND PASTED TOGETHER TO CREATE AN AVANT GUARDE, ABSTRACT AND MEANINGLESS APPROACH TO A TOPIC THAT IS VERY CLOSE TO MY HEART.

Still after looking back at my experience, taking away the random clips meshed together,  WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED??? everyone calling a man Kal-El or Clark while wearing the suit, or Zod being Patriotic to Krypton like he ever gave a damn, and going with a story of Zod trying to recreate Krypton on earth to rule it, by changing the is atmosphere??? I can go on and on but i really cant be bothered anymore, 

This whole movie, especially the end was a like a big trailer for what’s to come. How can you let us pay our money to be entertained, you guys spend millions making a movie for a throw away film as an advert for the next sequel, like that will be the jump off….

Oh get outta here with that wackness  Zack Snyder…  ABSOLUTE NONSENSE..!!
